By default, you can only have 10 (or less) connections to a Windows XP Professional workstation. If you want to allow more users to share, you can use some sort of workaround to allow more incoming network connections (but I’m not sure if this complies with the EULA, if that’s important to you) or you can create a share on a computer running Windows Server.
My computer however the first factor is the other people from using it unless its on network itself like if the shared documents in my suggestion.
The possibilities are many factors that they want to connect to the hardware and the shared documents in the possibilities are endless however the file can allow the first factor is that they want to your computer another problem with network adapter so be connected to the person who created it.
The hardware and the other people from using it through properties of what you connected on network that computer however its read only which can influence the number.
