How do I move the internal hard drive on my MacBook to a Windows XP laptop?

I tried installing the drive and then booting the Windows XP install disk, but the PC didn’t even recognize the hard drive was there. I think this is because it’s formatted for the Mac. Is there a way from Leopard to restore my internal hard drive as if it were brand new from the factory, ready to be used on a Windows laptop? Thanks in advance for all the help.

I can access the internet through both computers but I can’t access one computer from the other. They don’t show up on the other computer. The desktop running XP is wired through a wireless router. The notebook running Vista Basic uses a wireless connection. The help I’ve read seems to apply only if both computers are using the same edition of Windows. I might be missing the obvious step here so could someone please point it out for me? BTW, the notebook picked up the router and set up a network for internet access immediately. The desktop had to be reset before it picked everything up. The router is a dlink. ISP is road runner with time warner if that makes a difference. Thanks a lot for any assistance.

The motherboard is msi diamond plus the bios will allow me to configure another raid later installed in raid array using these new drives but windows xp does not recognize either drive.

I lost my original dell computer after a power surge so I reformatted the hard drive and changed the motherboard. I reinstalled windows xp. Usually it gives you 30 days before you must activate your account, but in the same day I reinstalled, I can’t log-on because Windows is saying my 30 days is up. I may have changed the date/time and I think this may have something to do with it. When I tried to change it back, I still couldn’t log on. So (finally) my question: Where do I get a confirmation id (7 sets of 6 digits for a total of 42 numbers)??? I tried contacting MS but they say my version is already registered, which it was, however, the other computer is dead. RobinBattineau, your profile says that I cannot email you???
