Like i wanna transfer my itunes and itunes files from my accoutn and create a new one on windows XP and put it on there to make it runf aster, how would i do that?

Someone told me not to update sp3 pack for windows xp because it will slowly damage your hard drive. Is it true? How can I uninstall sp3?

I am installing windows xp on a new hard disk, and want to get files from my old hard disk with the same windows xp on it. The old hard disk had problems booting windows xp. How can I put both hard disks in my computer and copy the files i want from my old hard disk to the new one without doing anything to mess things up?
